In a new report, the Lepanto Institute traces the rise of violence perpetrated by sexual deviants to the promotion of LGBT ideologies from Catholic bishops and priest members of the Association of US Catholic Priests (AUSCP).
The first part of the video report focuses on the radicalized transexuals promoting violence against those who refuse to play along with their sexual fantasies. It is without a doubt that this mental and spiritual perversion is what led to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA. After identifying various avenues through which Catholic bishops and organizations have funded, promoted, and openly participated in sex-change procedures and trans-ideologies and agendas, the video report provides additional leaked audio from the AUSCP Assembly which took place in San Antonio, TX from June 23-26.
One month ago, Lepanto published a video report with leaked audio from the same meeting wherein AUSCP priests openly discuss “masturbation,” with one even sacrilegiously admitting that when he sexually abuses himself, he considers it to be a “prayer.” That report can be viewed here.
In the new video report, a woman identifying as a man (and claiming to be “married” to another woman) gives her testimony to a smaller group of AUSCP priests. While listening to her story, it is easy to recognize how her entire metaphysical outlook was distorted by having a homosexual and same-sex “married” father. But instead of helping this poor soul address and cope with the moral wounds inflicted upon her by him, these priests give applause, praise, and words of affirmation for her and the twisted life she now leads.
Even worse audio comes from the presentation given by condemned theologian Todd Salzman. Salzman was strongly denounced by the USCCB in 2010 for proffering “conclusions, clearly in contradiction to the authentic teaching of the Church” that are “harmful to one’s moral and spiritual life.” Despite this, Bp. John Stowe is heard telling the AUSCP audience that the AUSCP should “lobby the USCCB to require every priest ordained in the last 20 years to take a course in Catholic morality from Dr. Salzman.”
Salzman’s entire talk was littered with criticisms and condemnations of authentic and immutable Catholic teaching. In one clip, Salzman attacked the Congregation for Catholic Education’s document, “Male and Female, He Created Them,” for ignoring what he calls the science of “intersex” people, as if debilitating genetic mutations somehow indicate that God did not create a binary and complementary sexuality for mankind. He then audaciously claims that same-sex “married” couples are able to provide the same emotional and psychological nurturing that heterosexual parents do.
In another clip, he attacks the Church’s teaching that homosexuality and gender dysphoria are “intrinsically disordered,” which they are.
In a separate Q&A session he held after the conference, Salzman falsely asserts that the Church’s teaching against transgenderism and “queer rights” might “evolve.”
Two Weeks ago, Lepanto published a report showing official collaboration between the USCCB and the AUSCP on a current project. This follows a report we published in 2022 showing that a Director from the USCCB was a “non-clergy member” of the AUSCP, attended and tabled at an AUSCP Assembly, and conduced official AUSCP-USCCB collaborations at that time. In light of what is produced in this report, and ongoing cooperation and collaboration between the USCCB and the AUSCP, the Lepanto Institute is renewing its call for all bishops to formally condemn the AUSCP, forbidding its priests from having any contact with it. Furthermore, we are asking faithful Catholics to write and call Abp. Timothy Broglio, current president of the USCCB, asking him to condemn the AUSCP and severing any and all relationships the USCCB may have with that organization.
