Raleigh Area Land Trust
Raleigh Area Land Trust (RALT) received its first-ever national CCHD grant in 2020. It has received a total of three grants, including its most recent grant of $70,000 for the 2022-2023 grant cycle, for a total of $175,000.

At issue is that the leadership of RALT openly promoted LGBT Pride, and its executive director also promotes LGBT messages. An additional issue worth noting is that the former president of RALT was arrested in 2024 for embezzling $100,000 from her own non-profit.
On 1 June 2025, RALT posted a celebration of LGBTQ Pride Month, stating that it “push(es) for inclusive policies.”

Kevin Campbell is the Executive Director for RALT.

On 14 May 2025, Campbell complained about cuts to DEI programs that would affect “non-binary” individuals.

On 30 March 2025, Campbell declared “Well said” about a post attempting to explain to conservatives that “woke liberals” aren’t the problem, and that conservatives shouldn’t be concerned about “drag queens” or “genders study majors,” and that the problems in society don’t lie with “pronouns, trans kids (or) diversity,” while trying to say that conservatives shouldn’t “fear queer people.”

On 30 October 2024, Campbell attended a Kamala Harris political rally, saying, “Let’s get this done!” This is an issue because Harris placed access to abortion and “transgender rights” at the very heart of her platform.

On 1 November 2024, he shared another pro-Harris post “with his network.”

On 26 July 2023, Campbell posted a “Good advice” message

While the following is not necessarily a disqualifying bit of information regarding RALT, it is worth noting. When the president of an organization is arrested for embezzling $100,000 from another non-profit, this speaks to the financial security of the organization itself. According to RALT’s tax form 990 for the year 2023, Kia Baker is identified as the president of the organization.

A 26 October 2020 post by Innovate Raleigh identified Baker as the executive director for Southeast Raleigh Promise and on the board of RALT.

On 24 May 2024, Spectacular Magazine identified Baker as the former executive director for the Southeast Raleigh Promise and the individual charged with embezzling $99,564 from another non-profit she led called The Resiliency Collaborative.

Conclusion
RALT has been caught promoting LGBT ideologies on its own social media feed, and when taken in connection to the fact that its executive director also espouses LGBT ideologies, it is clear that the gravely immoral perspective of the leadership bleeds into the activities of the organization itself. And given the criminal charges against the former president of RALT, it is fair to say that this is an organization to be avoided by Catholics at all cost.
